India

Written by Ellen van Drunen on 23 July 2011.

A cycling trip over the roof of the world: Ladakh in India. Starting in Shimla at the foot of the Himalaya we quickly ascended to the Kinnaur and Spiti Valleys across a few of the highest passes in the world.

We conquered the Taglang La, altitude 5320 meter, among others.

The Himalaya is very impressive; beautifull remote landscapes, lonelyness and special people. Villages filled with Tibetan people and even a meet and greet with the Dalai Lama himself!

Few of the images are published in a Dutch travel and outdoor Magazine 'Op Pad'.
